I had a great political meeting and made some new friends who fed me and put me up for the night- THEN Mark brought me down to the Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum where they have everything from old fly-wheel engines to water pumps, barbed wire displays, old tractors a sleigh and wagons & kitchen and household antiques.
They had branding irons and burdizzos on the wall and a display of wheat varieties, too.
After I win the primary I am looking forward to the fair here in September when they fire up some of these old tractors and even hook up the draft horses and demonstrate the equipment.
Meeting new people, exploring the district, and learning about the history of our communities are my favorite parts of the campaign trail. But I hope that people will come out to places like Pomeroy, and Uniontown, and Colton to see these hidden gems for themselves.
(By the way- as you can see- I have new supporters for my campaign!)
