COLTON, WASHINGTON HAS A POPULATION OF 401.
Keep that in mind when you see that 8 residents died in WWII.
The small towns of Eastern Washington offer fascinating insights into our history and hope for our futures- if we do what’s right as a country.
Colton’s old steam tractor caught my eye as I was on my down to Pomeroy so I stopped to have a look around. Church services were over - but the gun range has dozens of cars and trucks parked there and the field is bright orange with the remains of clay pigeons… I wish I had more time here but I have an appointment.
I know it’s hard to read the story about the tractor because of the reflection in the glass, but it’s kind of neat. The history of the city is really interesting and that’s pretty clear on the plaque.
I’ll be coming back to Colton. But I’m sure glad I stopped here today.
