A DAY "OFF"...
I've spent the day on the phone and online starting about 07:30 when my friend Thomas Blood in Germany called me... I'd been up late, and It was Daylight Savings so I'd lost an hour, but I REALLY needed to talk to him about some really smart stuff he's written that I will be sharing on here. My comrades in arms from the 223d Military Intelligence Battalion all know he's one of the smartest guys we've ever known.
It is just past midnight - so I'll make this fast.
I drove somewhere around 600 miles because there was some backtracking - and a volunteer joined me for the 6th and 7th which really helped a lot.
I met hundreds of wonderful people and one guy who was a real jerk at a gas station. That's pretty good, I think. I met a plenty of folks who said they weren't going to vote for me because they were Republicans, which I respect. I also met a few republicans and some swing voters who said they'd consider me which I consider a real honor... And of course I'm meeting lots of Democrats who have other choices and, if I say so myself, most of them are supporting me.
The trick to winning, therefore, is for me to talk to as many people as I can! Sure, some money is needed and my most valuable assets are our volunteers - but it's on ME to get out there and talk with the voters.
LISTEN --> LEARN --> LEAD. In that order.
I've been posting along the way but I just wanted to summarize the roadtrip and thank Jax and Dick and Deberah and David, and Joe and Mark and Tom and Susan and Amy and Betsy and Beth, and so many new people we met on the road.
LET'S TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!
