Bajun Mavalwalla
NAME RECOGNITION IS KEY...
When we set up our exploratory committee last fall, we had some key questions - but one of the biggest ones was "Can a guy named Bajun Mavalwalla get elected in Eastern Washington?"
First, that unusual name didn't seem to be the problem - people across the district didn't seem to have a problem considering me - but it was more a matter of what a "Bajun" is.
The signs are helping a lot. Subtlety doesn't help anyone in politics - so I'm being sure that I'm out in front of the voters and actually TALKING with them. And the good news for me is I'm getting a lot more of "I've seen your signs" and "I've heard about you!"
