THERE IS NO "PRETTY" WAY TO GENERATE POWER, BUT LET'S USE SOME COMMON SENSE.
In Eastern Washington there is a beautiful area around Kamiak Butte between Pullman and Palouse. I have hiked the park there myself and I do have to say that the area would not be improved by wind farms. On the other hand, we need power generation and wind power makes a lot of sense in other parts of our district. It's as clean an energy source there is, and it doesn't interfere in any significant way with agricultural production.
As we move into the AI era, we will need more and more electricity and the administration's fights against a profitable and clean energy source makes no sense to me whatsoever. Therefore, I'm glad that the court has ruled to allow offshore windmills to move forward. But clearly there has to be some guidelines.
Certainly, this is one time that I don't think the federal government should be telling communities what to do.
I'd like to hear what people think about wind power, and where they think there should be lines drawn.
A federal judge ruled Monday that work on a major offshore wind farm can resume, handing the industry at least a temporary victory as President Trump seeks to shut it down.
